Another cabbage recipe...yes its our green veg of choice, or the choice of green veg we have, luckily we like it and it's good for you. We served this side dish with Thai Soya and Green Peas in Coconut and brown coconut rice, the spicy, tart, salty flavours are very satisfying.

Cabbage with Red Chlli and Tamarind Dressing (serves 4)
1/2 cabbage, finely shredded
2 red chillies, finely chopped
2 rounded tablespoons tamarind puree
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Cabbage with Red Chlli and Tamarind Dressing (serves 4)
1/2 cabbage, finely shredded
2 red chillies, finely chopped
2 rounded tablespoons tamarind puree
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- Mix all of the ingredients after the cabbage well.
- Bring a pan of water to the boil, drop the cabbage into it until the water comes to a boil again, then drain immediately and rinse in cold water.
- Heat 1 tsp oil over medium heat in a sautee pan and add the cabbage, stir fry for a few minutes.
- Turn off the heat, add the dressing and top with chopped peanuts to garnish.
