Being dedicated yoga students one of the main concerns for us is to provide energy and proper digestion for our daily early morning yoga practice, and to this end our main meal of the day is our lunch, we also have a substantial breakfast and very light dinner. This is a traditional way of eating and works well to keep weight down as we go to bed pretty early and don't work off many calories at night, which could be the same of most people, however it seems that the sandwich at lunch and heavy dinner have taken over to suit office hours.
A typical breakfast would be some granola or bircher muesli with yoghurt, lunch would normally contain a grain a bean some vegetables and dinner of some light soup. We only eat a small portion of raw or uncooked food which is generally more taxing on the digestive system.
